Amidst another fate, their paths were forgotten,
None of them knew where to go,
Only darkness and the unknown lay ahead...
Amidst another fate, their paths were forgotten...
Could anyone in this world imagine a place where everything is not subject to strict rationality, where the earth is a haven for grasses and trees, where birds sleep on rocks, and the sea is wild and free, like the wind. There the sun is generous to all who need it, there, as far as the eye can see, stretch meadows and forests, there the desert justifies its name, there everything breathes freedom.
Such was the cradle of those who, in the era of their youth, knew no cruelty and wars... They had nothing to share, the world lay at their feet and beckoned with its purity and pristine nature. And there was one culture and one language, in the evenings smoky bonfires rose to the stars and merry people sang melodious songs praising their Gods... their kind and merciful Gods... those whose names are now forgotten...
But the world was not destined to grow and mature with its people; strangers stepped onto the fertile land...
Wisdom and great knowledge they brought with them, but cruelty was in their hearts; their home was forged in metal... Science could not overcome the overpopulation and hunger reigning in their ravaged homeland. War – harsh, but necessary. And only a part of the natives survived this bloody chronicle... The result of cruel mercy towards the defenseless was an artificial world – an arena created for those who were accustomed to being free...
Four huge rings revolve around a red star named Sulis. On the vast area of each ring – billions of square kilometers – are giant "combs" – hexagons bounded on all sides and from above by insurmountable walls (energy fields). The surface of each ring is an innumerable number of comb complexes. Those accustomed to being united were separated and scattered across three rings, and they were destined to meet on the fourth ring.
And each of the three separated ones went their own way, thus giving rise to the races. And they learned to save, using every inch of the surface, and the sun's rays became only a source of one of the resources...
Craftsmen ended up on the first ring; technical knowledge and skillful hands became their salvation in the artificial world. Thus, the Voraners appeared...
Farmers and hunters ended up on the second ring. Only seeds of vegetation, as well as insects and amphibians, gathered in haste from their native land, could become their hope for the future... Thus began the Liensu race...
And only the third – those who were priests and clergy on their home planet, were able to develop their psi-energy and use it to survive and become Psolao...
It was difficult for them, but what helped them was finding remnants of the enemies' powerful science on the surface – artifacts. Some of them are so powerful that they can bring significant advantages not only to their owners, but also to the entire alliance of the owner, or even the entire ring or all representatives of the owner's religion. Particularly brutal and long-lasting wars are waged over artifacts; their owners can never feel safe... Over time, the surface became depleted, and patient seekers had to search for them in the depths of artificial soils... Thus, archaeology appeared.
By studying sciences, they managed to reach heights in construction and mining... To extract energy, light solar sails appeared first; only later did they learn to use the comb's energy field – powerful sources were constructed. In the struggle for survival, the first farms were established, and over time, hydroponic farms, but only Liensu food became famous through the ages for its nutritional value and taste. High-tech buildings appeared, producing a wonderful light metal – kaderium, indispensable in any construction (and the Voraners excelled in this), as well as nano-crystallizers – a source of mysterious blue crystals that breathe life into what is created and built (Psolao dominated here).
In their eternal labor, they forgot their old Gods and their homeland, striving to find those who had once so ruthlessly changed their destiny. And a new religion became solace for some and hope for others...
The two main religions are the Cloud Contemplators and the Stormtroopers. The first religion has accepted this cruel world and even considers the ring engineers as gods and benefactors. The second religion, on the contrary, believes that their path is to break free from these shackles and measure forces with the ring engineers to finally avenge all the years of imprisonment.
And greed and pride found their way into their hearts, and each became for himself, and their world divided into friends and foes, and they began to raise warriors and teach them to kill... But they did not know how to overcome the energy fields to reach their desired enemies and rivals. And then they turned their gaze to the legacy of those who had imprisoned them. The world was standard, but the gates on each comb were broken to keep apart those who, sooner or later, could overcome space and fly to their enemies with just retribution. But they learned to repair the gates, and then the space within the ring opened up to them, which is still called the "tunnel river". Following the example of the Central Gates, they learned to build Inter-ring gates, but the heroic races could not reunite, as they had become too different, and even their appearance had changed over the centuries of development...
In the faceless bluish substance of the Tunnel River, gondolas carrying painstakingly built troops glided. Wars began, and after the wars came the first unions (alliances) and agreements... Trade was established... And the three races were finally able to meet on the fourth ring to live side by side. Amidst harsh competition and survival, kindness, compassion, and nobility began to sprout.
